Natural Lash Glue Alternatives | Sarah Jean | True Glue
Makeup is a booming industry with more and more people going glam on a day to day basis. If you’re minimal on most days like me, lashes will be something applied on special occasions only, but for some it’s become part of their everyday makeup routine.
Most mainstream lash glues contain a cocktail of nasty chemicals including formaldehyde, latex and ammonia. Regular use of lash glue can irritate, age your eyes and make your natural lashes weak, brittle and more prone to falling out. But I have good news… there are natural alternatives out their that work just as well without the damage.
Sarah Jean is an Australian eyelash and lash glue brand that offers a vegan, cruelty free and low toxin alternative. All ingredients are listed as safe on Skin Deep, apart from Retinol. But this is still a hell of a lot better than what else is on the market. This product is perfect for beginners due to the mascara wand applicator and non-stick tweezers. Another big positive for me was how lightweight the glue was, making the lashes very comfortable to wear. There was also no discomfort or breaking of lashes on removal.
You can purchase the Sarah Jean products directly from the website and they also have stockists listed within Australia. They have a site coming to Amazon so will be available for international shipping very soon.

If you’re looking for something that is based within the US, there’s also True Glue. This brand offers a cruelty free, vegan product that uses 100% natural ingredients. True Glue applies clear, giving a mess free application and has incredible staying power. I did find it was a little painful to remove as the glue has no flexibility once dry, so it did pull out some of my lashes. It also took a long time to get to me from the US, so I would recommend Sarah Jean for my Australian readers.
