Skincare Review | Face Oils
Oils are a given in my daily skincare routine. They provide additional hydration, antioxidant and anti-ageing properties that you won’t find in most moisturising creams.
If you’ve been too scared to try face oil in fear of it clogging your pores, don’t be. There are many oil combinations to choose from depending on your skin type, and some even assist with managing skin prone to breakouts.
Here are 3 of my current favourites on rotation in my bathroom.
This rosehip oil contains potent antioxidants and essential fatty acids, helping to keep the skin hydrated and reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Rosehip oil has also been known to assist with reducing the appearance of scars, stretch marks and sun damaged skin.
This product is affordable, cruelty free, vegan and perfect as a night time treatment for most skin types.
Lighter in texture and colour than most face oils I’ve tried, this is perfect for oily and congested skin due to the balancing ingredients and quick absorption. With lightweight ingredients such as macadamia, jojoba and geranium seed oil, it also works well as a day time oil for most skin types.
Tailor made for your skin concerns, Activist evaluates your skin using specific questions to determine your skin type and concerns. A custom-formulated Hyaluronic Acid Serum or Precious Oils Serum are both individually formulated and can be used on their own or as a team.
The thing that really impressed me about this brand was not just the performance of their products, but the information they provide to you during your evaluation and upon receiving the products. Their website also contains a lot of useful information on their chosen ingredients, how they are sourced and their benefits.
Oh, and did I mention they also donate 5% of each sale to charity?
